Digital Learning Partnership

The Digital Learning Partnership convenes academic, government, corporate and foundation partners to undertake significantly challenging and rewarding applied research projects involving the innovative application of digital learning technologies.

Current Digital Learning Partnership projects include:

Mobile MUSE Network: A partnership of academic, corporate, community and cultural organizations undertaking applied research into mobile-social media applications anticipating the 2010 Olympic games in Vancouver.

Project Inkwell: An international industry-lead initiative focused on the process and specifications required to achieve one-to-one computing in K-12 education.

GUSSE (Global Urban Sustainability Solutions Exchange): Applying social bookmarking at a global scale to enable cities to learn from cities how to be sustainable.

RESCALE (RESearching Campus Learning Ecosystems): A far-reaching wireless infrastructure concept to transform an entire university campus into a participative learning laboratory.

Education 2010: An initiative to realize the global learning potential of the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver through the application of advanced media and internet technologies.

CASI (Centre for the Advancement of Science Identities): An application of web-based self-expression and profiling technologies to determine how students build learning relationships ("identities") with the subjects they encounter.

ETEC 522 - Ventures in Learning Technology: A completely online course that engages students in authentic, collaborative role-playing concerning the analysis of real-life learning technology ventures.
