An international industry-lead partnership to champion the process and specifications required to achieve one-to-one computing in K-12 education. Laptops are not the answer, and it's not about a "device" anyway: Project Inkwell has brought together the 'vendors' (large global technology and education companies), the 'stakeholders' (teacher associations, education departments, etc.) and 'customers' (a growing set of state governors looking to make a significant investment in education) to establish the standards required for a fully scalable solution that celebrates learning. The "digital learning" dimension is that learning experience governs the architecture of the technology DNA (devices, networks and applications).
