The Faculty of Education is committed to becoming
a leader in the use of digital technologies for the support of teaching
and learning.
The Learning Technologies division of EPLT champions
such applications within the Faculty and in a set of strategic collaborations
with partners at UBC and beyond. Collaborative projects are coordinated
by the Digital Learning Partnership.
Some of the current projects include:
Facilitating 15 technology pilot projects
Working with Education faculty and the Office of Teacher
Education to help teacher education students acquire technological
skills and perspectives needed for today’s schools
Making laptop computers more accessible for instructional
purposes to faculty
Supporting the Tech Coach program and professional development
with sessional instructors
Developing e-portfolios for Master of Education program
