Course Content
When you go into the "Course Content" area of the course there will usually be a listing of sections, modules or other course units.

|
The files are organised in different levels. Note the small triangles next to some items. This means that the item can be expanded. For example, clicking on the triangle next to item will expand the section to show sub-sections.
Clicking on any of the links will take you directly to the page. |
The Table of Contents will be displayed at the start of your learning materials, and can be accessed from every page.
Course content pages have two main components.
The first component is the navigation frame, which includes the navigation buttons and other icons. The following are examples of icons that may appear in the navigation bar.
Action Menu |

|
The Action Menu appears above each page in a Course Content (learning pathway).
- The action menu lets you navigate forwards and backwards through the pages (the Previous and Next buttons - the second and third button).
- Contents is a listing of all pages (the first button).
- The Retrace button 'takes you back the way you came' if you looked at the pages out of order (the forth button).
- The Refresh button reloads the last page you were looking at if you are temporarily taken away from the page (the fifth button).
Some icons will appear throughout the course; others will appear from time to time as required. Note that WebCT to look exactly the same in every course you are taking. |
The second component is the content frame, which will contain text, graphics and other components that form the substance of the course materials.
