Home page
Once you click on the course link in ’MyWebCT’ you will see the course ‘Home Page’. This page serves as the starting point for your WebCT course. From this page you will be able to access items like the syllabus, calendar, course contents, discussions and quizzes. WebCT courses can be customized and will not all look exactly the same, but some features will remain constant.
Course Menu

On the left hand side of the Home Page you may see a menu of available items. You can click on these links to go to different parts of your course. You will note that these links can be visible throughout the course.
If you want to see more of your course content, you can temporarily hide the Course Menu by clicking on the green arrow next to Course Menu.
These links offer the student access to the pages that make up your WebCT course. The course menu links may also be available as icon or text links on other course pages. Course Menu on the left navigation bar is always in view regardless of the page you are on. |
Breadcrumbs
Underneath the course title you will see a trail of links showing where you have come from. These are called 'breadcrumbs'. Here is an example -
As you explore the different sections of the course, take note of the navigation buttons. Use these buttons instead of the browser back and forward buttons. These buttons may be at the top or the side of the page, under "Course Menu".
